Embassy
  Dr.
Laurie Bristow is the new British Ambassador from the United
Kingdom to Azerbaijan. His credentials were accepted on February
18, 2004 in Baku. He replaces Ambassador Andrew Tucker. Ambassador
Bristow joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1990. In
1992 he was posted to Bucharest where he worked for three years.
Then he returned to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, London.
From 1996-1998, he served as Private Secretary to the Minister
of State for Europe, then in Ankara as Head of the Political
Section from 1999-2002. The following year was spent in Rome
at the NATO Defense College. The British Embassy is now located
in the Landmark Building in downtown Baku at 45 Khagani Street.
