Chingiz Sadikhov - Piano CD

Renowned pianist and accompanist Chingiz Sadikhov (1929- ), featured in an article in this issue, has a new 2002 CD entitled "Piano Music of Azerbaijan by Maestro Chingiz Sadykhov." The 19-track CD, produced by Kutay Derin Kughay of 7/8 Music Productions in San Francisco, features piano renditions for pieces like "Arzu" (by Niyazi), "San Manim Man Sanin" and "Gamly Mahni" (both by Tofig Guliyev), the folk song "Sandan Mana Yar Olmaz", and "Ala Goz" (by Sayid Rustamov). Songs by Jahangir Jahangirov and Ali Salimi are also included. Sadikhov is well known for accompanying Azerbaijan's most popular singers, including Rashid Behbudov and Muslim Magomayev.
