Where in the World?

As for Americans, well, I'm discovering that so many of them don't know where Azerbaijan is. Last weekend I went to a nearby town, Alvarado (Texas), and a woman there started asking me about my country. I told her about Azerbaijan and explained how it is an independent country now.
Can you imagine what she asked at the end of our conversation? She wanted to know: "Which part of Russia do you live in?"

I thought, "Oh my gosh. How can I explain to someone who obviously doesn't know zilch about geography!"
