Amoco Caspian Sea Petroleum and the US-based humanitarian organization AmeriCares have joined in another effort to provide medical aid to Azerbaijan.

This time, supplies for kidney patients are being set up at the Hospital for Oilmen in Baku. Blood line tubing and liquid solutions used in kidney dialysis treatments will be shipped from Germany to Baku in September.

"This is another example of Amoco and AmeriCares working on various medical supply problems in Azerbaijan," said Luke Keller, VP of Amoco Caspian Sea.

Previous efforts involving Amoco and AmeriCares have included a three-year children's immunization program against diphtheria, measles, polio, pertussis (whooping cough) and tetanus in Nakhchivan and the shipment of six tons of medical supplies for children at refugee camps last October.
